We take a moment to salute the late great Austrian Hermann Gmeiner for his vision and generousity of spirit in the SOS Kinderdorf International Project. Over the years, the SOS schools, villages, and skills training centers have provided safe havens and secours for countless orphaned children who may otherwise fall through the cracks of neglect and abandon. I am particularly proud of Mr. Gmeiner for augmenting the general fortunes of society by harnessing the value of these children. The staff and management of all SOS Hermann Gmeiner projects deserve our highest commendation and the children our enthusiastic support.
