Savanna Academy:

A proposed boarding and day school in the rural areas of our ROP nations, Savanna Academy will be The GDP’s signature campus that will be formed around the Nyakoi Vision Institute. To afford rural children an opportunity for a quality and wholesome education. Emphasis will be placed on orphaned children. 100% of grades 1 thru 8 will be day school, and 50% of grades 9 thru 12 will be day school and the other 50% will be boarding school. We will secure 2000 hectares of land in our Region of Operation for the Savanna Academy campus and its facilities. We will update you on progress every step of the way. Deyda Hydara Sustainable Development Club 

As part of the curriculum and requirement for graduation from Savanna Academy, Junior and Senior students will complete a month-long project in sustainable development and growth. This will afford our students inspiration and value in collaborative work and study and encourage them to participate in the communities where they will live, work, and study after the Academy. Students, in teams of 5 each, will be paired with an Academy guidance councillor and our partners and community industry and they will offer a presentation at the end of the project. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (SDI):

The SDI as part of the campus of the Savanna Academy will be home for The GDP local administration. It will offer training workshops germaine to ROP sustainable development projects and testing and analysis laboratories for materials and project-specific feasibility studies. This facility will also colaborate with colleges and universities of our ROP to conduict research in renewable energy such as wind, solar, and water, and industrial methods.

We will develop this idea of the SDI further with our partner institutions and will consider naming it for one of the following short list of persons:

Senator Edward Kennedy NYAKOI VISION INSTITUTE:

A medical facility within the Savanna Academy campus to afford rural residents an opportunity at improved vision and relief from diseases of the eye which can hinder full participation in democratic life and other appreciation of life. The institute will provide experiences in basic opthalmology and the optical sciences to students of Savanna Academy who belong to the Opthalmology Club. These students will assist surgeons in extended recuperative care for patients. The JOHM fund will be the funding arm for Nyakoi Vision Institute. See the Savanna Academy page for further detail.

The GDP-tour

We wish to invite you to participate in all aspects of The GDP-Tour. From designing the Tour LOGO and Route Map, to supporting and sponsoring Tour atheletes. The Route is envisaged to run through the capital cities of our ROP. Read more at The Global Democracy Tour Page……
